Day 1 of My New Diet: A Healthy Start with a Few Hiccups
Today was the first day of my new diet, and I have to say, I’m feeling pretty good about it so far.
I’ve been focusing on eating a diet that is low in carbohydrates, which can be a bit of a challenge since I love bread and pasta. However, I managed to stick to my plan and ate a pretty healthy breakfast and lunch.
For dinner, things got a bit more complicated. My wife has a gluten allergy, so we try to avoid gluten whenever possible. However, she wasn’t home tonight, and my kids really wanted lasagne for dinner. I know lasagne is not the healthiest option, but I decided to indulge them this one time.
Despite the lasagne, I managed to keep my overall carbohydrate intake low today, and I’m proud of myself for that. I know that sticking to this diet won’t always be easy, but I’m determined to make it work.
In the evening, I went for a run with a friend. We ran 8.5 kilometers at an average pace of just under 5 minutes per kilometer. It was a great workout, and I feel proud of myself for pushing through the discomfort and finishing strong.
Now, as I sit down to write this blog post, I’m feeling a bit of muscle soreness from the run. It’s a good kind of soreness, though – the kind that reminds me that I worked hard and pushed myself.
Overall, I’m feeling optimistic about this new diet and the changes I’m making to improve my health. It’s not always going to be easy, but I know that if I stay focused and committed, I can achieve my goals. I’m excited to see what tomorrow brings!
